Key Pop is a free online home-row typing game built for absolute beginners. Colorful balloons carrying F and J float upward — type the letter to pop the lowest one before it escapes off the top. Ten levels, five hearts, and nothing but your two pointer fingers to start with.
How to play Key Pop
- Balloons labeled F or J float up from the meadow.
- Type F or J to pop the LOWEST matching balloon first.
- A balloon escaping off the top costs one heart — 5 hearts per run.
- Every 8 pops raises the level: faster rises, more balloons at once.
- Wrong keys only dent accuracy — keep popping.
- Press Esc to pause and Enter to start or restart.
Key Pop tips
- Rest pointer fingers on F and J and never look down — feel the home-row bumps.
- Pop the lowest balloon first, every single time.
- Tap with a light rhythm instead of stabbing at keys.
- Once Easy feels automatic, graduate to Frog Hop for D and K.
