Play Forest Jumper – Free Online Typing Game
Type the word to jump and climb!
Forest Jumper is a free online typing game starring a brave little deer climbing a tower of jungle branches. A word floats above the glowing branch — type it correctly and the deer leaps up. Each climb is 10 branches tall, with longer words and moving branches waiting on higher levels.
How to play Forest Jumper
- Pick a difficulty: Easy, Normal, or Hard. Harder modes use longer words and give you less time.
- Look at the word floating above the glowing branch and type it letter by letter.
- Finish the word before the timer bar runs out and the deer leaps to that branch.
- If time runs out you lose one heart — lose all your hearts and the climb ends.
- Clear all 10 branches to reach the flag and complete the level, then keep climbing higher levels.
- Open the pause menu any time with Esc (or the ← and ⏸ buttons), then use ↑ and ↓ with Enter to choose Resume, Restart, Menu, or All Games.
- On the start card, press ← and → to switch difficulty; use the ⤢ button for fullscreen and ♪ for sound.
Forest Jumper tips
- Keep your fingers on the home row so you can start each word without looking down.
- Read the whole word first, then type it in a smooth rhythm instead of rushing letter by letter.
- A miss costs nothing but a wobble — stay calm and retype rather than mashing keys.
- Short streaks build combos for bonus points, so steady accurate typing beats fast sloppy typing.
Typing skills you practice
- Whole-word typing fluency (3–7 letter words)
